The college is come into being at Baganpara, the educationally and economically backward region of BTAD, fulfilling the long cherished aspiration and dreams of mass population irrespective of caste, religion, culture and language with a promise to impart Higher education to the needy, deserving and potential students of this territorial area. The College is greatly contributing academic and cultural atmosphere to the locality by its consistent effort since inception in 1987.

Baska Degree College aspires to bring the benefit of higher education to the Rural masses especially to the poorer section of the society, with a more caring and supportive understanding of their socio-economic milieu, which is expected to cater to the need of the present day Students and that will equip them to face challenges of the changing time. The college has been paving the way of nourishment of talent of the students as a whole in the region.
The college campus is situated at the western part of Baganpara Bazar of Kumarikata- Jalah PWD road. It has sprawling scenic and serene campus with an inspiring, peaceful and congenial Environment. The college is affiliated to Bodoland University and running the choice based Credit system (CBCS) course structure, a national level syllabi which is adopting the students to meet the challenges with other Universities in India. .
